This depends entirely on your wishes and the medical recommendations. Typically, between around 200 and 1500 grams are removed per breast. In most cases, this is sufficient to ease discomfort while also achieving a harmonious silhouette.

Usually yes – it depends entirely on how much tissue is removed. In the case of a moderate breast reduction, the glandular tissue generally remains intact, so breastfeeding is still possible later on. If large amounts are removed, the likelihood decreases, meaning breastfeeding may only be possible to a limited extent, or not at all.

Absolutely! Asymmetries can be ideally corrected during a breast reduction. If needed, we in Berlin also operate on just one breast to achieve an even overall result.

On request, we reposition or reduce the areola so that size, shape and position match the new breast. This takes place during the same operation.

Directly after the operation, the breast still looks larger due to swelling. After about three months, the final shape becomes clearly visible; it usually takes around six months until all tissue structures have fully healed and the final result is visible.
