Treating smoker's lines with Botox® by Aesthetify

Smoking can not only lead to numerous health problems, it can also cause unattractive wrinkles around the mouth known as "smoker's lines" or smoker's wrinkles. However, smoker's lines are not caused by smoking alone, but generally by frequent pursing of the lips. In addition, the skin around the mouth becomes thinner with age due to collagen loss, causing wrinkles to become more pronounced. With Botox®, we specifically relax the affected muscles so that the wrinkles visibly smooth out – gently and with a natural-looking result.

Safety during your treatment for smoker's lines

From medical consultation and the use of high-quality preparations to being reachable after the treatment: at Aesthetify, your safety is our top priority.

  • Medical execution

Consultation and treatment are carried out exclusively by qualified medical staff. This ensures that every injection is placed precisely and safely.

  • Approved/certified active ingredients

We work with proven active ingredients such as botulinum toxin (Botox®) and hyaluronic acid. These are generally very well tolerated, so allergies and intolerances are highly unlikely.

  • Information & consent before every treatment

We inform you in detail beforehand about the process, effects and possible side effects. We only begin the treatment once you have received this thorough information and given your consent.

  • Practice locations with an emergency number

We treat you at our locations in Düsseldorf, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Konstanz and Oer-Erkenschwick. Just in case, you can reach us via a medical emergency number.

Frequently asked questions about injecting smoker's lines

Treatment can already be worthwhile once the first fine lines start to appear around the mouth. The earlier wrinkle formation is counteracted, the less pronounced the fine lines usually remain. We're happy to discuss whether treatment makes sense in your personal situation during an individual consultation.

The first effects of the injection are usually noticeable within a few days. It typically takes one to two weeks for the Botox® treatment to show its full effect.

The effect of a Botox® treatment for smoker's lines usually lasts four to six months. Combining it with a hyaluronic acid or laser treatment can often extend how long the result lasts. If the effect has faded too much, a touch-up is possible at any time.

Smoker's lines form due to the repeated pursing of the mouth, for example when smoking. As we age, muscle tone around the mouth increases, causing the lips to purse more often without us noticing. This also promotes the formation of fine lines in this area. Botox® targets and relaxes this muscle, visibly reducing existing wrinkles.

Mouth wrinkles such as smoker's lines, marionette lines or nasolabial folds develop as part of the skin's natural ageing process. Over time, the skin loses collagen and elastin, causing it to become thinner and less elastic. Frequently recurring movements such as laughing, speaking and chewing, as well as external factors like smoking or sun exposure, can further encourage the formation of mouth wrinkles.

Injecting smoker's lines with Botox® starts at Aesthetify from €200. The exact price depends, among other things, on the number of injection points and a possible combination with a hyaluronic acid or laser treatment. You will receive an individual quote after a personal consultation.

Injecting smoker's lines is considered low-pain. Before the injection, we numb the mouth region locally with a cream so the treatment is as comfortable as possible for you.
