NAD⁺ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme that occurs in every cell in the body and is involved in numerous metabolic processes – in particular energy production in the mitochondria, DNA repair mechanisms and cell-protective signaling pathways. The body’s own NAD⁺ levels often decrease with age, chronic stress and high levels of stress.
In the NAD⁺ infusion, NAD⁺ is slowly administered intravenously in a specially prepared infusion solution. In this way, the active substance enters the bloodstream directly and is available to the body without having to pass through the gastrointestinal tract. The aim is to support cellular energy production and stimulate regenerative processes.
As the current study situation on NAD⁺ infusions in humans is still limited, we see this treatment as a complementary wellness and longevity offer – not as a substitute for a healthy lifestyle or a medically necessary therapy.
Many patients report the following after NAD⁺ infusions:
More energy and less fatigue in everyday life
better concentration and mental clarity
faster regeneration after intensive exertion
a subjectively “rejuvenated” body feeling
Possible biologically explainable effects include
Support of mitochondrial energy production (ATP synthesis)
Support of repair and protective mechanisms (e.g. DNA repair, antioxidant processes)
Support of the metabolism and cellular signaling pathways
Important: The strength and duration of the effect varies greatly from individual to individual; reliable clinical data on the efficacy of NAD⁺ infusions in humans is limited to date. Success cannot be guaranteed.
An NAD⁺ infusion is particularly suitable for patients who, among other things:
are under high professional or private stress and feel exhausted
want support for regeneration after phases of intensive physical or mental stress
are interested in longevity / anti-aging and want to do something for their cellular health in addition to a healthy lifestyle
frequently struggle with fatigue, “brain fog” or listlessness without having already been diagnosed with serious underlying illnesses
The NAD⁺ infusion is not suitable as a “miracle cure” for serious illnesses such as addiction, depression, tumor diseases or long COVID. There are insufficient studies available for these indications and NAD⁺ infusions are not approved for them.
At Aesthetify by DR. RICK & DR. NICK, your safety is our top priority. A detailed medical history is taken before treatment, and existing laboratory values are taken into account if necessary. Together we will discuss your goals, possible alternatives and contraindications.
The infusion is carried out exclusively by experienced medical professionals in a calm, pleasant atmosphere. During the NAD⁺ infusion, you have time to relax – our team keeps an eye on you and your circulatory situation at all times and adjusts the infusion speed to suit how you feel.
Advice & information
At the beginning, a detailed consultation with one of our doctors takes place. We clarify your medical history, existing illnesses, medication and wishes. Together we will decide whether a NAD⁺ infusion makes sense for you or whether other drip spa infusions (e.g. immune infusion, beauty infusion) are more suitable.
Preparation
You take a seat on a comfortable lounger. A venous access is then inserted – this usually only causes a brief prick.
Infusion
The NAD⁺ infusion is administered slowly over approx. 2-3 hours, as administering it too quickly can often lead to discomfort such as a feeling of pressure, headaches or nausea. Such symptoms can usually be well controlled by adjusting the infusion rate.
Follow-up observation
After the end of the infusion, you will stay with us for a short check-up. If you feel stable, you can leave the practice again.
The effect of the NAD⁺ infusion does not set in equally quickly for all patients. Some report more energy and mental clarity in the first few hours or on the following day, while for others the effect is more subtle or only noticeable after several applications.
Basically, the infusion should support the following processes:
Optimization of cellular energy production
Support for repair and regeneration mechanisms
Reduction of oxidative stress
Support for a healthy metabolism
As controlled studies on NAD⁺ infusions are limited, the following applies: The treatment can make a contribution to your well-being, but is not a substitute for sleep, exercise, diet or medical treatments.
Drink plenty of water on the day of treatment and the following day.
Avoid intense exercise and alcohol consumption immediately after the infusion.
If you experience headaches, slight dizziness or nausea, please contact us – rest and an adjustment of future infusion rates are usually sufficient.
If your symptoms persist or are severe, please contact our practice immediately or – outside our office hours – the emergency medical service.
The prices are calculated according to the scale of fees for doctors (GOÄ) and are to be understood as guide prices.
NAD⁺ infusion: from € 650.00 per session (depending on dosage, additional infusions and individual effort)
You will receive a transparent cost plan in advance in a personal consultation.
The NAD⁺ infusion is generally well tolerated:
You will feel a brief prick when the venous access is inserted.
During the infusion, a slight feeling of warmth, pressure in the chest area, head pressure or a little nausea may occur – especially if the infusion runs too fast. These symptoms can usually be quickly alleviated by adjusting the drip rate.
