Overview

Lip flip

Procedure

Lip flip injections only take a few minutes and are relatively painless. As a rule, there is no swelling after the treatment, which is why it is also referred to as a “lunch break treatment”. The first results can be seen after just a few days, with the full effect appearing after approx. 2 weeks.

Durability

The effect of the Lip flip with Botox® usually sets in within 2-3 days and lasts for around 4-8 months. As with all beauty treatments, the duration of the effect can vary from person to person.

Pain

Most people find the lip flip treatment with Botox® is considered relatively painless. However, an anesthetic cream can be applied before the injection to reduce any pain.

Costs

The prices are calculated according to the GOÄ and are to be understood as guide prices. At Aesthetify by DR. RICK & DR. NICK, you can expect to pay from €200.00 for a lip flip treatment. All further details will be discussed in detail during a personal appointment. You will also be advised on the spot as to whether a treatment with hyaluronic acid or Botox® makes more sense.

Lip flip treatment at Aesthetify by DR. RICK & DR. NICK

The lip flip with Botox® is a relatively painless and quick way to achieve fuller, more defined lips. However, it is important to seek advice from a qualified doctor before treatment and to choose a reputable clinic with experienced doctors and high-quality botulinum toxin.

Hyaluron vs. Botox® for lip treatment

Whether Hyaluron or Botox® is more suitable for lip treatment depends on the individual needs of the patient. Hyaluronic acid is often used to improve the volume and contour of the lips as it plumps up the tissue directly under the skin.

Botox® on the other hand is used to slightly roll the lips upwards and achieve a fuller appearance without actually adding more volume. Especially when laughing, many patients can be seen to roll their lips inwards, making them appear narrower.

With the lip flip, you still have your natural volume when speaking or laughing.

Lip flip with Botox®: What is it?

The lip flip with botulinum toxin (also known as Botox®) is a non-surgical treatment that aims to make the lips look fuller and more defined. Botulinum toxin is injected in very small doses into the muscles of the upper lip along the lip border to relax them and pull them upwards.

This creates a subtle “flip” or upward twist, making the lip look fuller without adding volume.

Lip flip: What you should look out for

Before you consider a lip flip, you should definitely seek advice from a qualified doctor. Choose a reputable clinic with experienced doctors and pay attention to the quality of the botulinum toxin used.

Aesthetify only uses premium quality botulinum toxin certified in Germany from renowned manufacturers.

Lip flip - risks, side effects and long-term consequences

As with any beauty treatment, lip flips with Botox® have possible long-term consequences, risks and side effects. Possible side effects include pain or swelling at the injection site.

As the muscle on the upper lip is also responsible for facial expressions in the mouth area, slight asymmetries may occur, which usually disappear after a few days.

It is important to note that these side effects and long-term consequences are rare and can be avoided by experienced physicians such as DR. RICK & DR. NICK.
