Russian Lips is a method from Russia and is known for the special heart shape of the lips, whereby the focus is primarily on the cupid’s bow. The focus here is less on filling the lips and more on raising the lips by lifting their shape. This gives them optical volume and a heart-shaped curve.
For Russian Lips we also work exclusively with hyaluronic acid and have refined this method and its procedure for you. This technique involves injecting at the upper edge of the lip. This creates a flat, upturned lip with a beautiful, natural contour. This achieves the desired lip volume in a sensual heart shape.
This treatment enables the correction of uneven or distorted lip shapes. To achieve perfect results and full, soft lips with harmonious contours, we use a high-quality filler from LG Yvoire. This consists of a highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid, which is characterized by its exceptional longevity.

Although the same material – hyaluronic acid – is used in both methods, the main difference lies in the technique. With the classic lip filler, it is injected evenly into the lips to achieve a uniform increase in volume. The injection is made horizontally, which makes the lips appear fuller all around.
The Russian lips technique, on the other hand, focuses on a subtle heart shape for the lips. The lips remain flatter but appear more voluminous. The hyaluronic acid is injected vertically using a smaller syringe. The injection starts at the base of the lip and is drawn outwards – traditionally from the inside to the outside. The result is particularly natural and subtle, ideal for delicately emphasizing the shape of the lips.

For targeted lip augmentation, we inject hyaluronic acid at the transition point between the red and white of the lips. This allows us to precisely place small amounts of hyaluronic acid in the required areas to achieve the best possible result. The costs incurred for lip injections vary depending on the amount of hyaluronic acid used. As a rule, a quantity of around 0.5 to 1 ml is usual for Russian Lips lip injections. With regard to the expected price, you can use €350/ml as a guide. Please note that this treatment is a purely cosmetic procedure and health insurance will not usually cover the costs.

The durability of lip injections depends on two factors in particular: the hyaluronic acid preparation used and the person’s individual metabolism. We use a high-quality hyaluronic acid with an extremely long durability of four to six months.
If you would like to prolong the effect, we recommend regular follow-up treatments of the lip injections. In this way, the lips do not lose their shape, as this can counteract the degradation of the hyaluronic acid.

People often ask whether lip injections are painful. As a rule, lip injections are hardly painful as the lips are anaesthetized with a cream beforehand. In addition, the hyaluronic acid also contains an anesthetic to make the treatment as painless as possible.

Lip injections with hyaluronic acid are a low-risk procedure and are therefore rarely associated with complications. However, you may experience slight discomfort, redness or swelling after the treatment if you are sensitive to hyaluronic acid. You may also experience itching, a feeling of tension and, in rare cases, allergic reactions. These symptoms usually disappear quickly.

As with all other procedures, risks and side effects can never be completely ruled out when injecting the lips – however, this is a very low-risk treatment. DR. RICK & DR. NICK carry out several thousand treatments every year and are regarded as absolute experts in the field of minimally invasive treatments. Accordingly, you can rely on a low-risk treatment.

If you are having the treatment carried out for the first time, this will not affect the durability of the hyaluronic acid preparation. How long the injection lasts depends on your metabolism. As a rule, it lasts around four to six months, but the plumping effect starts immediately after the procedure. Regular follow-up treatments can prevent the hyaluronic acid from breaking down completely.

What are Russian Lips?
Russian Lips is a method of lip injections in which hyaluronic acid is used. The technique originates from Russia and is widely used there. We have further developed the method in our practices to achieve even better results for you.
Russian lips look particularly natural and therefore suit everyone. This technique is particularly suitable for people with narrow and less contoured lips who want a clearly defined lip volume but prefer a natural look.
Even if you already have filler in your lips, you do not have to do without Russian Lips. The existing filler may first need to be dissolved by a special treatment in order to inject fresh hyaluronic acid in the popular Russian Lips shape.

If you have an allergy to one or more of the ingredients of the hyaluronic acid preparation, lip injections are not recommended. We also recommend that you do not have this procedure during pregnancy or while breastfeeding

Kissing should be avoided in the first few hours after treatment. The reason for this is the filler, which must first bind into the tissue. Applying pressure to the lips is therefore counterproductive and can change the shape of the lips. Furthermore, bacteria should not be allowed to enter the injection sites.
