Composition and effect
Radiesse® is based on calcium hydroxylapatite, a biocompatible substance that is also found in the human body. The innovative composition ensures a double effect: immediately after injection, the filler fills in wrinkles and makes the skin look firmer. At the same time, the production of the body’s own collagen is stimulated, which strengthens the skin structure in the long term. The result is a natural rejuvenation that lasts for a long time – with an immediate effect that you can see immediately after the treatment.
What is the treatment procedure?
First, we will have a consultation with you to find out your wishes and goals and to inform you about Radiesse® as an active ingredient and the application of the filler. The area of the body to be treated is cleaned and disinfected. Radiesse® is then injected with a fine cannula, either in lines or in a fan shape, depending on the treatment objective. Immediately after the injection, you can see the first results and the skin is significantly plumped up. Afterwards, it is helpful to cool the injection sites to prevent swelling. We will of course advise you on this and give you tips on aftercare.
Combination of the filler with other wrinkle treatments
Depending on the type of wrinkles involved, a combination of Radiesse® and Botox® can also be useful to delay the re-deepening of the treated wrinkles. It is also possible to use Radiesse® and hyaluronic acid to effectively treat different layers of the skin – Radiesse® has a plumping and collagen-stimulating effect in depth, while hyaluronic acid reliably smoothes superficial wrinkles. Which filler is better?
The choice between Radiesse® or other fillers such as hyaluronic acid or Sculptra® depends on the individual aesthetic goals and the current condition of the skin as well as the depth of the wrinkles. Radiesse® is suitable for immediate volume build-up and long-term collagen stimulation, while Sculptra® achieves a gradual and unobtrusive increase in volume. Hyaluronic acid is ideal for fine to medium-deep wrinkles, but does not affect collagen production.
